Working Out With Lash Extensions

Working out is essential to keeping healthy whether you lift, swim or dance it’s always a bonus to look amazing while exercising. Lash extensions keep you looking flawless while getting your swim on but all of that sweat can damage your lashes, here is a few tips to keep your lashes looking on point!

 

 

Water Damage:
Our master lash technicians will tell you to avoid showering and washing your face for at least 24 hours (which includes steam rooms), well… The same rules apply for sweat. Sweating during the first 24 hours can make the lash bonds very week, which means you will be back for a fill sooner than you wanted to be.

Shield Your lashes:
Seal your lashes with Intelliseal Lash Sealer (sold at Prép Beauty Parlour), sealing your lashes is very important if you plan on swimming, doing hot yoga, spin class or traveling to any humid places with your lash extensions. Intelliseal creates a shield between your lashes and any type of water or sweat.

Cleanse:
After any kind of exercise make sure to cleanse your lashes to protect them from bacteria and sebum build up, any kind of build up can create infections as well as break down the adhesive to your lash extensions. Facenvy is a paragon free cleansing gel that will remove make-up, dirt and oil from the surface of the skin. Facenvy is safe for extensions and highly recommended by professional lash techs around the world!

Over the past couple months, what started out as a curious inquiry and a couple requests has blown up and become quite popular at Prép. Clients who have found the Classic set to be not full enough and our Russian Volume set too full, have discovered a perfect balance with custom Mixed Russian and Classic sets.

These sets are great for the girl who is always on the go and needs to switch between glam and everyday looks easily. The fullness and volume is totally customizable, so you can choose what suits you and your needs best. Pricing for a Full Mixed Set starts at $150 with Fills starting at $80. Our business has grown tremendously since we opened our doors in 2010, and our next chapter is one of the most exciting yet! Our Eyelash Extensions are made of synthetic mink, and are applied with sensitive medical grade glue. All of our fabulous eyelash technicians are professionally trained and certified with a minimum of 5 years experience. Consultations take place during the first portion of appointments. We offer the following eyelash services:

classic full set eyelash extensions – (one faux mink lash per natural eyelash) $85
classic eyelash extension fill with at least 50% of extensions left $60+
russian volume/3d volume full set – (3 lashes per natural lash, for a light & fluffy “voluminous” look) $195
russian volume/3d volume fill with at least 50% of extensions left $90+
“mixed volume” full set – russian/3d volume & classic extensions mixed $150
“mixed volume” fill with at least 50% of extensions left $80+
eyelash extension removals (from another salon) $15
eyelash extension removals (from Prép) – free

*Please note, we may have to remove old eyelash extensions from another salon if they are not up to our lashing standards for a “fill”, and start fresh with a full set. Removal charges will apply.*
