Wedding Prép: Behind the Scenes with Angela | Prép Beauty Parlour

All girls dream of that fairytale wedding, the flowers, the dancing, but most importantly, the wedding dress. A girl’s wedding day is pretty much her night as Cinderella!

On August 4th, a team of 4 talented Prép hair and makeup artists travelled to prep the bride, Angela for her magical day. We all had so much fun glamming her and her closest girlfriends up.

We absolutely love showing the world our furniture and decor, and often like to change things up! So when our friends at Frankie & Co. dropped off some beautiful and fun balloons, we set up a few photoshoots to play around with it! The Lower Lonsdale boutique is a family owned establishment that brings exceptional products and customer service to those who visit their store for moments to remember! They add that a special touch to life’s everyday moments through beautiful balloons, candy, party favours, and more!

We also invited Vancouver photographer Samantha Chan and Family Management’s Bryanna Joy to do a fun little shoot!

Photoshoot with Eva Grace Photography | Prép Beauty Parlour

One who browses our dream- like Instagram page will see that we are often doing different types of collaborations and photoshoots. Prép is a salon, but we also hope to establish a community where we can all support and promote each other in a fun, sister- bond way! We are huge fans of working with local talent because not only do we get exposure and experience from working with these individuals through their channels, we also make great friends and connections along the way!

This past month we collaborated with a few local models, athletes, and photographers to put together a small photoshoot to get to know each other while creating memories! Photographer @EvaGracePhoto opted for a care-free, relaxing beach vibe in this photoset. Eva Grace tells us that her:

“style of photography is fun and creative! I’m not about the stiff awkward poses, because truly those are not the ones that represent who you really are.”

The two lovely models in this shoot are the gorgeous @HaydenKortemoore, whose Instagram is filled with travel and adventure photos, and the classy fashionista @MegSayle. Hair and Makeup by Mika and Miku from Prép (us!), of course!

Spotlight: Engagement Photoshoot with Janelle Saccucci & @PhotosbyLees | Prép Beauty Parlour

True love is easily one of the most difficult things to capture in a photograph, especially when capturing the deepest meanings in the relationship and the love the couple truly has for one another.

Recently, one of our beloved clients- Janelle Saccucci (who is no stranger to us!) got engaged and announced the amazing news through a series of beautiful photos, taken by Lesa from @Photosbylees. Luckily, we were able to take part in this shoot by prepping Janelle. Hair and Makeup were done by Miku and Mika! They opted for a European-esque vibe and headed for the older brick building aesthetic in Gastown. Enjoy!
