Before Your First Lash Appointment II | Prép Beauty Parlour

So you’ve seen our last post here and you think you know everything there is to know about lash extensions..right? Nope! There’s more! And don’t you worry, we’ll be walking you through that today! Today we’ll be going over the different types of lash curls and lengths, as well as styles and which shape would be best suited for you!

The synthetic lash that is glued onto one of your natural lashes come in a variation of styles. At Prép we carry B, C, D, and J/A curls.

A/J curls are the most natural and have the least curl in them. A/J curls have little to no curl at all. As flat, no curl lashes, they blend in the easiest and are perfect for those who are getting lashes for the first time and enjoy a very subtle, natural look.

B curls- B curls are the next level of curls. They have a very slight curl and are again, suitable for those who are wanting a natural look to their extensions. They also suit those who are wanting to simply extend the length of their natural lashes without adding too much drama to them.

C curls- C curls are popular for those who usually wear make-up and enjoy a strong look- thats clear that you’re wearing lash extensions. They may even appear as if you are wearing eyeliner. They are noticeable and look gorgeous!

D curls- D curls are the most dramatic type of curl that we carry. These are good for people who hooded eyes or have lashes that are long, but are covered by the shape of their eye. Many clients will come in and have had experiences with C-Curl lashes and expect a dramatic curl, just to notice that the curls are not visible from the front view and instead, only from a side view.

L & L+ curls- These curls look the same as they are named- an L shape! These can only be made possible in a lash lift and may not suit everybody. It is also important to remember that lashes of different curls, length and width may look different on everybody’s lashes!

Moving onto the lash styles, lash extensions, similar to false strip lashes, can be used to create many looks that can accentuate your eye shape.   Prép lash technicians will use a variation of sizes and lengths to design the shape properly for each lovely client.

Here are some looks below:

 

Natural- Natural style is good for well, those wanting a natural look! They are closest to the natural eye shape. There may be slightly longer lashes attached near the middle as well as the ends, the extensions should match your natural lash style.

Cat-Eye- Cat eyes are sexy, seductive, and stunning! This style is most fitting for shorter and rounder eyes, and will elongate your eyes. “cat-eyes” for those who are hoping to elongate their eyes without the use of eyeliner. Your lash technician will discuss with you as to which curl works out to be the best for the looks.

Doll/Open- Eye/Cute-Prép recommend “cute” or commonly known as doll eye for those who have longer eyes, this style will really open up your eyes! This kind of style suits those who have smaller eyes.  The longer lashes in the middle will open up your eyes and create a doe eye look.
