One of the most important parts to keeping lashes looking fresh and full, is aftercare. Using the proper products whether it be make up remover or facial cleanser can create a huge impact on the longevity of your lashes. Thankfully, Prép Beauty Parlour has you covered! Bella Lash has created and come out with many products that will be sure to extend the life of your beautiful lashes, and limit your visits to get fills! (Though it is safe to say we will miss your pretty face!!) Let’s give you a quick walk through on all of our current favourites and lash aftercare products!

♡INTELLISEAL♡

One of Prép Beauty Parlour’s favourite Bella product in which we use after each lash nap is the IntelliSeal. Essentially, the IntelliSeal- as mentioned in it’s name, seals your lashes. Think of it as the top coat and the cuticle oil at the end of the well deserved manicure. Voted ‘Best of Product in 2016’ by LNE Spa & Magazine, it also helps to cure the lash adhesive and conditions your natural lashes. The stronger your natural lashes are, the better the bonding life of the extensions.

♡LASH CLEANSER♡

We love our lash extensions, why? Because it gives us that amazing oomph in both length and volume with little effort! Pop a little bit of concealer on those under eyes, our favourite shimmery eyeshadow, highlight, bronze up, and we’re good to go! So how do we go abouts safely removing all of that product off without damaging or pulling our lashes? Many make up removers on the market contain nourishing oils that will only cause our lashes to fall out quicker. This is why our favourite go-to is the Bella Lash Cleanser! It is gentle, completely oil-free, and make just for eyelash extension wearers! Not only is it the best lash cleanser to remove our make up with, but it also contains Chamomile and Saponaria extracts that nourish the natural lashes! Come in & pick up a bottle!

♡DEEP CLEANSER♡

Another cleanser Prép carries is the Bella Deep Cleanser. We typically do not recommend using a mascara no eyelash extensions safe as it can be very difficult and damaging to remove. Luckily, we do have another cleanser for you know, those “I NEED” mascara days. This formula has a thicker consistency and works harder to remove any mascara residue from Sephora or eyelash extension safe mascara. All without damaging the bond between the extensions! The best thing about this deep cleanser for lashes is that it has added moisturizers and vitamins that help to condition and strengthen your lashes as well as the sensitive area around your eye.

Eyelash Extensions at Prép Beauty Parlour

So you’ve seen our last post here and you think you know everything there is to know about lash extensions..right? Nope! There’s more! And don’t you worry, we’ll be walking you through that today! Today we’ll be going over the different types of lash curls and lengths, as well as styles and which shape would be best suited for you!

The synthetic lash that is glued onto one of your natural lashes come in a variation of styles. At Prép we carry B, C, D, and J/A curls.

Different Lash Extension Looks

A/J curls are the most natural and have the least curl in them. A/J curls have little to no curl at all. As flat, no curl lashes, they blend in the easiest and are perfect for those who are getting lashes for the first time and enjoy a very subtle, natural look.

B curls- B curls are the next level of curls. They have a very slight curl and are again, suitable for those who are wanting a natural look to their extensions. They also suit those who are wanting to simply extend the length of their natural lashes without adding too much drama to them.

C curls- C curls are popular for those who usually wear make-up and enjoy a strong look- thats clear that you’re wearing lash extensions. They may even appear as if you are wearing eyeliner. They are noticeable and look gorgeous!

D curls- D curls are the most dramatic type of curl that we carry. These are good for people who hooded eyes or have lashes that are long, but are covered by the shape of their eye. Many clients will come in and have had experiences with C-Curl lashes and expect a dramatic curl, just to notice that the curls are not visible from the front view and instead, only from a side view.

L & L+ curls- These curls look the same as they are named- an L shape! These can only be made possible in a lash lift and may not suit everybody. It is also important to remember that lashes of different curls, length and width may look different on everybody’s lashes!

Moving onto the lash styles, lash extensions, similar to false strip lashes, can be used to create many looks that can accentuate your eye shape. Prép lash technicians will use a variation of sizes and lengths to design the shape properly for each lovely client.

Lash Extension Styles

Natural- Natural style is good for well, those wanting a natural look! They are closest to the natural eye shape. There may be slightly longer lashes attached near the middle as well as the ends, the extensions should match your natural lash style.

Cat-Eye- Cat eyes are sexy, seductive, and stunning! This style is most fitting for shorter and rounder eyes, and will elongate your eyes. “cat-eyes” for those who are hoping to elongate their eyes without the use of eyeliner. Your lash technician will discuss with you as to which curl works out to be the best for the looks.

Doll/Open- Eye/Cute-Prép recommend “cute” or commonly known as doll eye for those who have longer eyes, this style will really open up your eyes! This kind of style suits those who have smaller eyes. The longer lashes in the middle will open up your eyes and create a doe eye look.
